J founded Excel Roofing in 1993. J worked for his Grandfather for many years, who operated Windsor Gardens Golf Course. This is where he learned the fine art of customer service. J’s father was an Architect and General Contractor. It was on one of the numerous job sites they worked together that J was introduced to roofing. The core focus of Excel Roofing is residential roofing. He states “We pride ourselves on giving our customers great service”.

J enjoys spending time in the mountains with his wife and two sons, and their dogs. J likes to Snowboard, Tele-mark and Cross country ski, Mountain bike, Raft and Kayak. J is also a member of the “Excel Speed Skiing Team”.

Michael is Excel Roofing’s Operations Manager. Spike handles job scheduling, Problem solving, and a little of every thing else. Spike is a Denver native, and had extensive management experience with companies such as Frito Lay before joining Excel.

Spike enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also likes to guide the Excel raft, ski, hunt and fish.

Ryan Covers the Southern areas including Castle Pines, Parker, and Franktown, He also works in his own neighborhood of Southern Hills, next to Welshire Golf Course. Ryan, a Colorado Native, is Excel Roofing’s Senior Project Manager. Ryan has been with Excel since the beginning back in 1993.

Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids in their mountain cabin. When he’s not roofing, Ryan hones his flying skills at the helm of an Airbus for Frontier Airlines.

Denny works in Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Littleton and Englewood. Denny has worked with Excel since 1998. Denny was born and raised on a farm and from a young age was taught a work ethic that you don’t stop until the job is done right. Denny is the kind of person you want managing your home remodeling project, if you saw his home I think you would agree.

Denny loves cars, really fast cars. If you see a beautiful 1963 Red Convertible Corvette whizzing by, there’s a good chance it’s him.

REGION: Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Littleton and Englewood

Smitty works around the Lakewood, Golden and Wheatridge areas. Smitty has lived in Lakewood since 1996, and has worked with Excel since 1998. Smitty has a degree in Architectural History, and has managed historical roofing projects for Excel Roofing.

Smitty like spending time at his second home in Canon City, and likes to fly fish, and raft in the Arkansas River.

REGION: Lakewood, Golden and Wheatridge

Al primarily works in the Highlands Ranch, Littleton and Englewood areas. Al has many years of management and entrepreneur experience, which serves him well in the management of roofing projects. Al takes pride in treating every home like it was his own.

Al likes to Ski, Snowboard, and mountain bike with the other members of the “Excel speed skiing team”. Al is also an avid Fly Fisherman.

REGION: Highlands Ranch, Littleton and Englewood

Scott Holman is a Colorado Native. Scott works around the north parts of the metro area, including Louisville, Broomfield, Westminster and Northglenn. Scott has over 25years in the roofing industry and has vast knowledge of almost every roofing product made. It is very rare when Scott encounters a problem he has not seen before.

Scott enjoys spending time in the mountains with his family. Scott likes to hunt, fish and snowmobile.

REGION: Louisville, Broomfield, Westminster and Northglenn

Kevin McCarthy works in Aurora, Centennial and Fox field. Kevin, another Colorado native, he attended both Mullen and CU. Kevin has been with Excel since 1999. Prior to roofing, Kevin managed several different corporate businesses, gaining valuable experience about the do’s and don’ts of customer service.

Kevin enjoys Skiing, Snowboarding, Biking, Rafting, Weight lifting & fitness training. Kevin is also a member of the “Excel Speed Skiing Team”.

REGION: Aurora, Centennial and Fox field

Ken works along the 285 corridor up to Bailey, and also works in Evergreen, Willow Springs, and the Roxbrough areas. Ken Has worked with Excel Roofing since 1998. Ken has a through knowledge of roofing, and regularly handles complex roof designs in the mountains. These challenges often include high wind, ice dams, and houses that have been added on to several times. Because Ken is so through, it is rare that he encounters a problem he cannot solve.

Ken is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing. Ken is also an accomplished artist and has makes music CD’s doing everything from start to finish. Ken creates bronze sculptures, artistic drawings and other works of art.

REGION: 285 corridor up to Bailey,Evergreen, Willow Springs, and the Roxbrough

Clay works in Centennial, and Englewood. Clay, another Colorado native, had extensive background in both sales and construction, and business ownership before joining Excel. This combination of skills has proved very valuable in managing roof projects.

Clay has been a professional Fly fishing guide, and loves the sport. Clay is also an avid golfer, snowboarder, and does a great job of raft guiding.

REGION: Centennial, and Englewood.

Eric primarily work’s in, and around Denver Proper. Eric grew up in Denver and has a superior command of the Spanish language which is a tremendous asset in the roofing industry.

Eric has traveled to more than 50 countries. He like’s to play Soccer and run with his Boxer “Tuco” around Washington park.

REGION: Denver Proper.

Dan is Excel Roofing’s Wyoming Manager. Dan Served in the Army for 24 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant 1st class with the elite, Special Forces. Dan’s discipline and detail make him a perfect person to Manage our Wyoming division.

Dan is very proud of his three kids. Dan has coached youth football for 13years, and enjoys riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.
