Carolyn and Glenn Taylor live at the top of Conifer Mountain at about 10,000 feet. A week before Christmas, a windstorm ripped the entire roof off their home. Half of it landed two hundred yards out in the woods and trees. The other half hung in one gigantic chunk right over the house. At that elevation, with feet of snow on the way and the middle of winter setting in, an open roof was a serious problem.
The Taylors called several companies first. Most either didn't work on metal roofs or didn't handle real reconstruction. That chunk hanging off the side told them they had lost framing and plywood. This wasn't simply replacing a roof or swapping out soffits. They needed a contractor who could rebuild.
Then they reached Excel Roofing. The team member who answered was kind and immediately pointed them to the right person, Adam, and said she'd pass him a message. Adam called back within five minutes and said he'd be up in fifteen.

Adam arrived fifteen minutes later, exactly as promised. He took one look at the huge chunk and the surrounding destruction, pulled out his phone, and called his construction crew. They changed their Christmas plans and canceled a trip to Michigan to be there.
Then Adam swapped his shoes for boots, put on a jacket, and started helping the Taylors clear debris alongside them. After taking it all in, his first real words were the ones they needed to hear. Excel was going to take care of this, and take care of them. They wouldn't pay a dime until the work was finished, and the crew would get the home dried in.
The Taylors felt better immediately. They had been talking with a few other roofers, but the moment they finished with Adam, they went inside and canceled all of them. They knew they wanted to stick with Excel.
The crew was never late. Every time they said they'd show up, they showed up. As Carolyn and Glenn describe it, Excel Roofing was more reliable than any other part of the process, including the insurance and the weather.
More than that, the Taylors trusted them. They never felt like they had to look over anyone's shoulder or worry they were getting less than they should. They trusted Excel Roofing to advocate for them, and the crew did exactly that. After working with many contractors over the years, the Taylors say there's no comparison.
The part that surprised them most was the insurance side. Adam knew their policy well enough to tell them exactly what to ask their insurance agent about, and he used their benefits and policy to the fullest degree. The Taylors didn't have to manage any of that coordination themselves, which was a relief on top of everything else.

Getting dried in was a huge relief. Then the finished roof went on, and it turned out beautiful. The Taylors feel far safer now, and they came out ahead. Their home is better than it was before the storm.
The whole thing became a three month process because of the insurance and the weather, but Adam and his crew never wavered. They always showed up when they said they would.
Carolyn and Glenn say they felt better the moment Adam pulled out of the driveway the first time they met him. They knew they'd made the right decision, and they never had to worry about the coordination again.
Up in the mountains, it can be hard to find contractors who commit and stick through the whole job. The Taylors had run into that before. Excel Roofing didn't waver once.
So they've told their neighbors, and they've told people in neighboring towns. You don't have to have a catastrophe to call Excel Roofing. Whether it's a new roof, a different roof, or whatever a homeowner has going on, the Taylors say Excel Roofing is the team for the job.
Their parting words say it best. This could have been horrible, and now that it's behind them, it feels great.
